L'innovazione incontra il design a Host Milano

Oppy’s presentation at Host Milano was a success. A new inclusive kitchen concept was unveiled at the exhibition, where everyone has the freedom to express his or her passion without barriers. The structure of the monoblock offers the innovative possibility of height adjustment: it can be lowered or raised to allow people of short stature, with motor or visual disabilities, or even in wheelchairs, to cook comfortably and safely.

Kitchen concept takes the stage at Host Milano

There could be no better stage than Host to present the new Monobloc kitchen to a qualified audience of industry professionals. The exhibition brought together more than 2,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries and offered a comprehensive overview of the latest trends and state-of-the-art equipment. Some dominant themes emerged during the event, such as sustainability, the increasingly advanced integration of technology and the optimisation of space. In this context, DESCO confirmed its vocation for innovation and the search for new, simpler and more functional solutions for food preparation, storage and cooking. The kitchen is the heart of any restaurant and DESCO wanted to provide chefs and catering professionals with better tools to realise their gastronomic creations.

A new possibility in the kitchen

Thanks to its intelligent design, the new Oppy monobloc kitchen integrates a complete range of equipment, including cookers, ovens, grills, hotplates and work areas, in a single, all-in-one space.
Cutting-edge technical solutions have been developed specifically for this monobloc system, which offers exceptional freedom to create a kitchen that is completely personalised in every detail. Oppy is height-adjustable, modular with gas or electric appliances and available in a wide range of finishes. The kitchen is an inclusive product that can also be used by disabled people or people of short stature. The height from the floor can vary from 75 cm to 85 cm. The adjustment system is equipped with anti-crushing safety devices. The base is made of AISI 304 sheet steel and can be adapted to any support, including the pedestal.

Advanced technology and design for the Oppy monoblock kitchen

In the Oppy monoblock kitchen, the distances between the components are calibrated and the knobs are placed in an advantageous position for people with disabilities. They are also designed with an ideal slope to prevent food and liquids from spilling. The sink spout is positioned for ease of use and the drain is designed to prevent scalds. The glass-ceramic fry top and induction hob allow very fast heat diffusion and make the surfaces easy to clean. The electric basket lifters are controlled by a touch screen to automate pasta cooking and set lifting times. They are compatible with GN 1/3 or GN 1/6 baskets and are equipped with a rear backsplas.
